Anthrax guitarist confirms band is working on new album

One of the biggest thrash metal bands in the world, AnthraxJonathan Donais lead guitarist recently revealed that the band are currently working on a new album.

Anthrax has released 11 albums throughout his career, which spans more than four decades. With these albums, they conquered a large audience in the metal scene and became one of the main representatives of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth.

Their most recent album, “For All Kings”, was released in 2016, almost five years ago. A year later, the band said they started working on another album due out in 2017. The band was busy touring at that time, and they were continuing to become reprogrammed.

Donais expressed that he is very nervous to listen to what his band mates are up to, and he can’t wait.

This is how he revealed their new album efforts:

“I haven’t heard any music yet, so I couldn’t tell you. But I know they got together recently – these guys got together recently – and were working there. I can’t wait to hear it. I can’t wait to hear it.

Donais joined Anthrax in 2013 to replace Rob Caggiano and has contributed to only one of their albums, the most recent. He let the band, who have collaborated for 40 years, work together on the album because they already know what to do. He did not want interfere in their system.
