Former Skid Row singer Johnny Solinger diagnosed with liver failure

Former Skid Row singer Johnny Solinger has revealed he has been diagnosed with liver failure.

“It is with a heavy heart that I have to let everyone know what is going on with me and my health,” the singer wrote. Facebook. “I was hospitalized for the last month. I was diagnosed with liver failure. And the prognosis is not that good. Like most musicians, I don’t have health insurance and it is very difficult to get proper care without it. “

The musician, a member of Skid Row from 1999 to 2015, added that he was taking “at least seven different drugs” and that he needed fluid drained from his abdomen “every two days”. He continued, “I have lost a lot of strength and will need physical therapy as well.”

“I appreciate and want you all to keep me in your thoughts and send me all the healing vibes you can, but I burn myself out easily so I will ask you not to call or text unless let it not be absolutely necessary, “continued the rocker. “But please, if you can help in this difficult time, I will wholeheartedly appreciate it.”

In his post, Solinger noted that he was trying to organize “some kind of fundraiser” to offset growing medical bills and future hospice care. This has since materialized as a GoFundMe campaign, organized by singer’s friend Brian Lawrence. The goal is to raise $ 100,000 to cover Solinger’s medical expenses.

Prior to his release from the group, Solinger appeared on two Skid Row albums and two EPs: 2003 Thick skin, Years 2006 Revolutions per minute, 2013 United World Rebellion: Chapter One and 2014 Rise of the Damnation Army – Rebellion of the United World.
