Jon Anderson Releases Video Trailer For Close To The Edge US Summer Tour

Jon Anderson has announced that he will be celebrating 50 years of Yes’s near the edge with a series of dates in the United States with the Paul Green Rock Academy. You can watch a video trailer of the visit below.

Anderson, who recently performed with the Academy, including a headline performance at this year’s RoSFest, will perform the 1972 album Yes in its entirety, along with other classic songs and what’s billed as ” surprise”.

“There are so many wonderful moments in my musical life, and being on stage with these young teenagers performing classic Yes songs makes me so happy and proud,” Anderson enthused. “It’s a wonder and a huge pleasure for me. It’s a joy to be with them and so much fun! I’m grateful, thankful and feel very lucky to be able to sing with them.”

“Having done a few of these songs in the past with Jon and my students, I couldn’t wait to add them to the current show,” adds Paul Green. “Once we made it near the edge and And you and me during our tour in Florida in April, I remembered the magic of hearing these songs recreated by young musicians… They really capture the frenetic energy of the original recordings. Then when I heard it was the album‘s 50th anniversary, I knew we had to do it all. Jon accepted.”
