Last weekend of March filled with music in the metro area – The Oakland Press

It’s been a month filled with live music in the Detroit metro. Here’s a look at what’s happening this weekend:

• The Detroit Symphony Orchestra Pops presents “The Best of Rogers & Hammerstein” featuring singers Josh Young and Emily Padgett-Young for four performances Friday through Sunday, March 25-27, at Orchestra Hall, 3711 Woodward Ave., Detroit. 313-567-5111 or dso.org for tickets and other information.

• The DSO itself, meanwhile, will be on the road performing pieces by Ravel, Prokofiev and others at West Bloomfield (Thursday March 24), Plymouth (Friday March 25), Bloomfield Hills (Saturday March 26) and Grosse Pointe (Sunday March 27). 313-567-5111 for tickets and other information.
