The Casual Dots Announce First Album In 18 Years, Share “The Frequency Of Fear”

The relaxed stitchesaka the singer-guitarist trio Christina Billotte (Inclined 6/ Chimerical), guitarist Kathi Wilcox (Kill in bikini) and drummer Steve Dore (deep desire), are finally releasing a second album some 18 years after their self-titled debut. It’s titled blood truth and will be released on September 23 via Billotte’s Ixor Stix Records.

Like their beginnings, blood truth was recorded at DC’s famed Inner Ear Studios with Guy Picciotto produce and Don Zientara engineering. The album opens with “The Frequency of Fear”, a catchy track that has them picking up where they left off and sounds pretty good. Listen to that below.

In other news, Ixor Stix will reissue The first Casual Dots album, also giving it its very first vinyl pressing on 9/23. Also listen to a track below.

The Casual Dots reformed for shows in 2016. Hopefully there will be more with the new album.

Kathi Wilcox will be on the road with Bikini Kill for the Pacific Northwest shows in September.
